Harvesting and Husking
Coconut husks are collected from coconut farms and processing units. Mature coconuts are harvested and the husks are separated from the nuts.

Dehusking
The husks are soaked in water for several months to soften the fibers. The husks are processed to remove the outer fibers and pith.

Defibering & Washing
The softened husks are beaten manually or mechanically to separate the coir fibers from the pith and other materials. The pith is washed with fresh water to reduce its pH and electrical conductivity (EC) levels.

Drying
The extracted fibers are washed to remove impurities and then dried in the sun. The washed pith is spread out and dried naturally under the sun to reduce its moisture content.

Screening
The dried pith is screened to remove any remaining impurities and to achieve the desired particle size.

Compression
The screened cocopeat is compressed into blocks or briquettes using hydraulic presses.

Packing
The compressed cocopeat blocks are packed and labeled for distribution.
